About me
Hi, I’m Grace Reuben, the founder of Dare to Be Fit and your online fitness coach. A few years ago, I struggled with my relationship with nutrition and fitness. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to navigate the health and wellness world, especially when constantly battling between your goals and your love for food.
But after pulling myself out of that difficult place, I discovered a passion for helping other women find balance and joy in their fitness journeys. My mission is to support females who are new to the gym, guiding them to achieve their fitness goals sustainably and healthily—without having to give up their favourite foods.
Through my personal app and company, Dare to Be Fit, I’m here to help you build a healthy relationship with food while reaching your goals. Whether you’re just starting or looking for a fresh approach, I’m committed to empowering you every step of the way. Together, we’ll make fitness a part of your life that you truly enjoy.
My Mission
Many of us know the frustration of being stuck in a cycle of diets, cardio overload, and feeling unhappy with our bodies. I’ve been there too. For years, I had an unhealthy relationship with food—labelling it “good” or “bad,” constantly restricting myself, and thinking that less food and more cardio were the only solutions.
But here’s the truth: starving yourself, cutting out food groups, and over-exercising doesn’t work long term. It leads to burnout, hormonal imbalances, and continued weight struggles that leave you feeling defeated. I’ve seen this happen to countless women, and it happened to me too.
During university, I spent hours on cardio machines, hoping to slim down, but my poor eating habits and lack of confidence held me back. Working with a personal trainer introduced me to strength training, which changed everything. Lifting weights transformed both my body and mindset—I realised it wasn’t just about looks but feeling empowered and strong.
As a certified trainer, I now help women find freedom from restrictive diets and cardio overload through a balanced, sustainable approach that promotes confidence, strength, and lasting results. You don’t need to sacrifice your favourite foods or spend hours in the gym to achieve your goals—you just need the right plan.
My story
My journey to fitness started from a place of struggle. For years, I battled an unhealthy relationship with food and my body, leading to disordered eating, burnout, and almost hospitalisation. My self-esteem was shattered, and I was caught in a toxic cycle of diets, over-exercising, and negative body image.
It wasn’t until I began strength training and adopting a balanced approach to food that I reclaimed my health—physically and mentally. This transformation inspired me to create Dare to Be Fit, with the mission to help other women break free from restrictive diets and find joy in fitness. My story is about finding strength, balance, and self-love, and I’m here to guide others on that same journey.
