5. Cat-cow
“A classic yoga pose, this stretch is great for spinal mobility,” says Grace Reuben, a personal trainer and founder of Dare to be Fit. “It will help loosen up the fascia along your back and is perfect for combating stiffness from sitting.”
- Start in an all-fours position on your hands and knees, with your wrists under your shoulders and your knees under your hips. Keep your spine neutral and your head in line with your spine.
- As you inhale, drop your belly toward the floor and lift your gaze up toward the ceiling.
- As you exhale, arch your back and tuck your chin into your chest.
- Repeat the cat-cow stretch on each inhale and exhale, matching the movement to your breath.
